I was in middle school and then began high school in 2009. During this time period, I wanted to be popular. I wrote about meeting new guys and who my crushes were. I also wrote about hanging out with my best friends, feeling alone and sad, and struggling to be myself. I recapped my soccer games, kissing guys, taking the trolley to the mall and messing around in stores. I had my first boyfriend during this time period. I was jealous of my best friend because I thought she was prettier than me. We shoplifted a lot and skated around our city. I got a new cell phone. I was trying to make new friends in high school. I snuck out a lot and got grounded. I mentioned the bands I listened to, and wrote some of my own song lyrics.
