Most people know about OZ from the 1939 MGM classic movie, starring Judy Garland. But the true story of OZ started with the first book, THE WIZARD OF OZ, by L. Frank Baum, published in 1900. He wrote thirteen more books in the series until his death in 1919. The series was then continued by a number of other people. This is a fairly recent addition to the canon.
